Arceus LV.X from the Advent of Arceus set, card number 077/090, holo rarity, slapped in a PSA 10 slab. This one’s the Japanese first edition, straight out of 2009.
That artwork? Arceus floating there with all its plates orbiting like it’s running the universe—simple but hits with that mythical vibe, you know?
On the card text side, it’s a Colorless-type Level-Up with 120 HP. Poké-Body is Multitype, letting you attach any basic Energy to change its type on the fly. Attack is Judgment for 80 damage, but it discards all Energy attached unless you flip heads—risky play, but fun in a pinch. No weakness or resistance listed, retreat cost of two. Pairs up with the base Arceus cards for some wild deck builds.
Set dropped in July 2009 as part of the DPt era in Japan, which was all about Arceus and its type-shifting gimmick. This printing stands out because it’s the OG Japanese version, with that clean holo foil and text that feels more authentic if you’re into the source material. English versions came later in the Platinum: Arceus expansion, but this one’s got the edge for collectors who dig the original language and that first-edition stamp. Remember how Arceus was the big mythical push after Dialga and Palkia? Yeah, this LV.X capped it off nicely.
Slab-wise, PSA 10 means it’s gem mint all around—centering probably dead on, edges sharp as a Tackle attack, surfaces clean without a scratch. Eye appeal is strong with that rainbow holo shine popping under lights, making the plates look like they’re glowing. Pop reports I’ve seen put PSA 10s for this Japanese holo around 50 or so last I checked, but those numbers can shift with new subs. Not a ton out there, especially in top grade, given the age and how these got played back in the day.
I’d stash this one in a display case next to some other mythicals, just to watch folks do a double-take at the setup.
