With raw cards the buyer is the grader, which is exactly why the listing photos matter more than any description. Zoom in on the corners and edges, check for whitening on the back, and look at how the surface catches light for any scratches the seller may not have mentioned. Sellers with multiple high-resolution angles tend to be the ones with cleaner cards, and any reputable seller will answer follow-up questions about flaws before you commit.
