Darkness Ablaze booster packs from the Sword & Shield era always feel like a solid throwback to those fiery battles. This one’s a single pack, factory sealed and ready to crack. Inside, you’ll find the standard 10 cards: typically four commons, three uncommons, a reverse holo of something random, a rare or better in the holo slot, and a basic Energy card to round it out. Don’t forget the online code card tucked in there for Pokémon TCG Live—handy if you’re building digital decks on the side. From what I’ve seen in community openings on Reddit and YouTube, plus my own rips over the years, averages shake out decently for a pack like this. You’re looking at about a 1 in 6 chance for an Ultra Rare pull, like a V or VMAX. Illustration Rares weren’t huge here, but Secret Rares pop up around 1 in 36 packs based on big box breaks. Hyper Rares, those gold ones, are even tougher—maybe 1 in 72 or so from collector reports. Full Art Trainers show up roughly every 18 packs. It’s not a guarantee in one pack, but that’s the fun of it; sometimes you get that surprise holo that fits right into your deck.
Personally, I’m always eyeing a few chases from this set. That Charizard VMAX with its massive wings spread wide in fiery glory—such a beast. Eternatus VMAX, all shadowy and cosmic with those tentacles reaching out. Centiskorch VMAX, the one where it’s coiled up like a blazing serpent ready to strike. Coalossal VMAX, bulky and armored in that rugged crystal art. And don’t sleep on the Shiny Charizard V, glowing with that alternate color scheme that pops.
